After receiving her bachelor’s degree in General Business and earning a master’s degree in International Trade, Mariame worked for JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), a governmental agency, and a non-governmental organization ICCO (Interchurch Organization for Development Cooperation) now known as Cordaid. Along the way, Mariame acquired knowledge in project implementation, particularly in the areas of agriculture, value chains, and food safety. She has over six years of experience in finance and administration, including procurement, logistics, and human resources. Mariame has a strong work ethic and believes in the development of Africa through agriculture. She is also multilingual (Wolof, Fulani, French, English, and some rusty Chinese). In her spare time, she loves to micro garden, read a book, cook, or bake new national dishes of different countries.
